About UsThe Cancer Federation is a non-profit organization incorporated and recognized as a tax-exempt organization since 1977. It is dedicated to funding cancer research and scholarships, including many in Illinois. We also provide information, referrals, and educational materials for cancer patients and their families. We sell your donated goods to private companies on a bid/contract basis. The funds raised from the sale of these goods helps fund our many programs.
You can help by scheduling a stop at your home. We pick up only at homes that have scheduled a truck to stop. Then put your items at your front door or garage door by 7:30AM in plastic bags or boxes marked CF or The Cancer Federation or tagged with your postcard. Our trucks work regardless of weather from 8:00AM until 6:00PM. If it is raining or snowing, you can simply cover the items with a plastic bag or tarp.
